Rewilding and Authentic Living
The Selvaticum Atelier was born in the heart of the woods, along the paths of the Emotional Garden of Feather Paths, within the Podere La Gualda Vecchia, in Tuscany. Today it is a true Yoga and Wellness Center, but it is also a place of the soul, born from a journey of personal and collective research, where self-care, contact with nature, and awareness intertwine.
From the yurt immersed in greenery to the art squares in the woods, every detail is designed to accompany those who arrive on a gentle journey of reconnection, listening, and freedom.
What do we do?
The Selvaticum Atelier offers:
Yoga in nature: individual or group lessons in the wooden and felt yurt, open all year round, with Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, and Yoga Nidra practices
Mini retreats themed with rituals, journaling moments, conscious breathing, meditation, and sharing
Couple experiences and holistic massages in a private and immersive setting
Inner and outer rewilding paths: walks on emotional trails, forest bathing, environmental education and care activities
Events and small festivals that combine wellness, art, craftsmanship, free dance, music, and nature
How do we do it?
Every proposal arises from listening: to the season, to the people, to the earth. There is no fixed formula: we believe in natural rhythms and in a pedagogy of respect, which does not impose but invites. The spaces are welcoming, simple, authentic. The practices are accessible even to those without experience, because the real goal is not to "do it well" but to feel deeply.
We use natural materials, respect the cycles of the forest, collaborate with local artisan realities, and try to leave our mark only in people's hearts.
Why do we do it?
Because we feel an urgent need to return to ourselves, and to the earth. Because we believe that well-being is not a luxury but a necessity, and that it should be experienced with truth, rootedness, and beauty. Because the practice of yoga, when done with awareness, is a powerful tool for transformation: personal, social, ecological.
The Selvaticum Atelier was born from this deep desire: to offer a space that is not only physical, but also inner, where one can feel free, welcomed, and fully human.
Re-wilding
More than just a return to nature: a journey back to our roots, to a time when our lives were intimately intertwined with nature.
- Reconnect with Nature: Rewilding allows us to bridge the gap between our modern lives and the natural world. It reminds us that we are not separate from nature, but an integral part of it. By immersing ourselves in wild landscapes, we rekindle our connection to the earth, its rhythms, and its beauty.
- Mental and Emotional Well-being: Studies have shown that spending time in natural environments reduces stress, anxiety, and depression, improving overall mental health. It offers a space for reflection, mindfulness, and inner peace.
- Physical Health: Rewilding will see the organization of outdoor activities such as walks and exploration of natural environments. Engaging in physical activities in natural settings contributes to improved physical health, fitness, and a deeper sense of vitality.
- Cultivating Empathy: Rewilding fosters empathy and respect for all living beings. By deepening our understanding of the beauty of flora and fauna and their habitats, we gain a greater appreciation for the importance of conservation and sustainable living.
- Education and Awareness: Engaging in rewilding activities encourages us to become more informed about the environment, ecosystems, and conservation efforts. This knowledge empowers us to make conscious choices and support positive change in our communities.
- Sustainable Living: Rewilding promotes sustainable living practices. It encourages us to reduce our ecological footprint, support local ecosystems, and make mindful decisions in our daily lives.
In essence, rewilding is a journey of self-discovery and a path towards a more harmonious existence with the world around us. It reminds us that our well-being is intrinsically linked to the health of the planet. By embracing rewilding, we not only benefit ourselves but also contribute to preserving our precious natural heritage for generations to come. Rewilding is not just a return to nature, it is a return to our true selves.
Welcome to the woods. Welcome home.
Gaia and Bruna met at the beginning of 2022 and from then on they began a journey both as student and teacher and of great friendship. Both are indeed women who have traveled a lot, who love nature and beauty. They are united by a deep trust in kindness as a revolutionary weapon, combined with a conscious return to nature and healthy self-care.
Bruna Carvalho
Owner and creator of Podere La Gualda Vecchia and the Emotional Garden of Feather Paths. Bruna is a recently graduated yoga teacher after an intense 200-hour training. Her practice stems from a personal search for balance and inner growth, leading her to discover yoga not only as a physical discipline but as a path of awareness, breath, and transformation. With a mindful and authentic approach, her teaching is based on creating safe and welcoming spaces, where everyone can explore their body and energy with kindness and without judgment. Strongly inspired by her teacher Gaia Ceccarelli, Bruna continues to train with dedication, keeping curiosity and the desire for growth alive. During her retreats and classes, she guides practitioners on a journey of inner rediscovery, fostering connection, harmony, and a deep sense of belonging.
Gaia Ceccarelli is a yoga teacher with extensive international experience, specializing in the therapeutic aspect of the practice. Her journey began as a personal quest to manage stress and anxiety, leading her to explore the power of conscious breathing and Pranayama. After intensive training in India in 2012, she continued to refine her skills, becoming a Senior Teacher at the Tribe International Yoga Teacher Training School and collaborating on female empowerment projects in Morocco. In addition to leading retreats worldwide, Gaia integrates Somatic Yoga techniques for physical and emotional well-being (Yoga for stress and anxiety relief, perimenopause Yoga, Yoni Shakti Yoga therapy, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra), offering targeted programs against stress and anxiety. During the retreat, she will guide participants on a deep journey of reconnecting with themselves, through practices that harmonize body and mind.
