Quercia is the largest of our two apartments: a cozy home, where you can be together without sacrificing your personal space.

The stone walls, the wood, the natural fabrics, and the light entering through the windows preserve the character of ancient Tuscan homes, with a welcoming simplicity.

Materials with a story

We love authentic things, those that gain beauty over time.

Local stone, solid wood, linen and cotton, ceramics, and furniture made by artisans. We seek objects that have a story to tell, made by hands and not by machines, chosen for their material, their origin, and what they convey.

Nothing is there simply to fill a space.

Every detail contributes to that hard-to-define, yet immediately recognizable feeling: feeling at home.

At Podere La Gualda Vecchia, we will be here: Bruna, Daniel, Michelle, and Thomas, along with our animal friends. We or our designated staff will be at your complete disposal throughout your stay, but the level of interaction will depend on you. Know that if you need anything, we will be happy to help you have the experience you desire in Tuscany!

In your home, “Quercia,” you will find:

Fine cotton sheets;
Everything you need to cook, including artisanal tableware;
Spaces where you can store your personal belongings;
A comfortable king-size sofa bed;
A bathroom complete with towels, toilet paper, hairdryer, candles, and an organic courtesy kit;
Books and board games;
Various furnished areas in the garden to ensure maximum relaxation.

Living the farm

The large solid wood table under the pergola naturally becomes an extension of the house. A slow breakfast outdoors, a meal prepared together, a book in the shade, on the hammock directly from Brazil, or a glass of wine as the light changes over the hills. A little further on are the vegetable garden, the Emotional Garden, the woods, and many corners of the farm to discover without haste. If it's the right season, you can pick some aromatic herbs or vegetables from the garden and take them directly to the kitchen. Here, there's no need to fill your days. There is already so much to experience.

Two double bedrooms

With deluxe mattresses made in Tuscany and artisanal linen and cotton bedding, chosen to make your rest truly comfortable.

King size sofa bed

In the living area, to accommodate up to two additional guests and bring the total capacity of the apartment to six people.

Equipped Kitchen

Everything you need to cook and share meals freely, including artisanal tableware chosen one by one.

Private Bathroom

Soft towels, delicately scented with essential oils, hairdryer, and products selected with the same care we dedicate to the rest of the house.

Pergola

An outdoor private space, furnished for dining, reading, or simply enjoying the tranquility of the farm.

Books and games

Little things made available for those evenings when it feels natural to stay home.

Upon arrival, you will have a reserved parking space. We will welcome you to show you the outdoor spaces and the accommodation where you will stay. The accommodation assigned to you with independent access and its bedroom pergola are for your exclusive use, while the countryside and all adjacent outdoor spaces can be shared with us, the owners of Podere La Gualda Vecchia, and other guests.

La Gualda Vecchia is also our home.

We live here and personally take care of the farm, seeking that discreet presence that for us is true hospitality: being there when needed and leaving all the necessary space when not.

The Quercia and its patio have independent access and are reserved for its guests. The garden and the other areas of the farm are shared spaces, large enough to allow everyone to easily find their own quiet corner.

Podere La Gualda Vecchia is located in Monteverdi Marittimo, between the Etruscan Coast and the Metalliferous Hills, surrounded by woods and hills a few kilometers from the sea.

Florence Airport (FLR) – 140 km, about 2h by car
Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) – 250 km, about 3h by car
From all airports, you can rent a car or arrange a private transfer.
By Train
Donoratico-Castagneto Carducci station – 25 km

From the main stations, we recommend a bus, a private transfer, or car rental to reach us comfortably.

From Pisa: about 1h15 (SS1 Aurelia to Donoratico, then direction Monteverdi Marittimo)
